Layered with frustration from the city's high rent and political turmoil, Hong Kong post punk outfit 南洋派對 N.Y.P.D. release the visuals to their rowdy single "Chicken Monster." Thrash chords and screaming Chinese vocals soundtrack a video game animation, where band members come together to face an untamed 8-bit beast that's fulled by urban pollution and social annoyance. What starts as a satirical nod at anime pop culture ends with bottled-up anger spunked all over your new 5D plasma. Catastrophe in Canton city. Happy fucking new year.
